Intro
Michael Finnegan Creator and Founder of Quantum Camp used to be a public school science teacher. Michael super frustrated by the hurdles before him, to simply introduce compelling physical phenomena for his kids to wrangle with.
On top of the school board and principal were breathing down my neck telling me to teach science to the standardized tests. He just couldn't do it anymore. He couldn’t see himself delivering boring check-box based lists of dry content, to be memorized, to those beautiful young minds, in his classroom. Yet he knew of no better alternative. Which began the quest! He dove in head first in to the history of science and math in search of what the great, iconic scientists of history did, in their pursuit of learning and building new knowledge.

Bryant Santana is the CEO and Creator of TheMovingTeacher.com. As an educator who was working abroad and in the US, he found that finding materials was just difficult. So Bryant practically single handedly began to create the site TheMovingTeacher.com site that has free to low-cost resources, so educators, guardians, students, and more are not breaking the bank or their nerves looking for materials on the internet. Bryant is slowly becoming a one stop shop for all things education. He prides himself on providing credible resources, that he vets daily. Bryant realizes that a lot of things exist but not are all legit. He also feels along with providing quality and credible resources that one of the most important things is the ability to tailor things how you want them to be and to have a purpose, so your child can have greater understanding.

Carissa Getscher is CEO and Founder of Sunflower Music lessons where she provides a plethora of music education resources like music history, appreciation, lesson helps, and actual music lessons.
At Sunflower Music lessons the belief is that any parent can teach music education. Carissa's lesson plans are supplements to curriculum parents are already using, how you ask? Maybe you are studying the Civil War or the Industrial Revolution in Europe. You can put a soundtrack to the history you are learning and BAM now it's music history.
Check out their Harriet Tubman resources, or the composers of Europe as supplemental resources. You can also use Sunflower Music, music appreciation worksheets to analyze music from any era, download a simplified piece of sheet music so your young musician can play a page of Beethoven. and so many more resources for your naturally curious child!

- Homeschooling is so important to her that as a single working mom she's dedicated to finding a way to provide for my three sons without having to put them in public school. Intro
Author and teacher Kimberly Purcell grew up in Victoria BC, little did she realize that Victoria which is derived from victor was to be a foreshadowing of the victories she would eventually live out in her life! Writing her first book in 5th grade called the "The Mystery of the Poison Ivy" from the inspiration of her teacher Mrs. Aalto. , Kimberly went on to Study International relations at University of British Columbia, Broadcast Journalism at British Columbia Institute of Technology and Creative Writing for Children and Young Adults at Vermont College of Fine Arts.
Her experience, expertise and passion for writing landed her various opportunities to become a Writer at Disney Hyperion and Former Writer at Penguin Books. Today she lives in my old stomping ground Brooklyn NY. You can find her on Facebook holding drop-in classes that will teach you to write your own novel.

Dr. Deanna Westedt is a teacher turned homeschooling momma. After 21 years in education and earning a doctorate in curriculum and instruction from the University of South Carolina, she left that world to focus on her own two boys’ education. Former math Teacher Dr. Stanley Schmidt speaks to us about the Life of Fred which is a series of math books for students in early elementary through college.
The Life of Fred Covers everything from basic numeracy to complex analysis. What is great about the Life of Fred is that is takes a literature-based approach to teaching math.
The Life of Fred series consists of humor-filled illustrated books that use an engaging story-driven instructive approach, rather than the traditional textbook.
The Life of Fred is a wide-ranging math series, not only compared to programs that use a narrative or literature-based approach, but compared to most homeschool math programs in general.
Life of Fred is most well known for its elementary series, intended for grades 1-4.
This Life of Fred series comprises of10 books and has a relatively unconventional naming structure that represents levels A-J in a somewhat more amusing manner.
Despite its unusual approach of teaching math through a story, Life of Fred is a complete math curriculum.
Number of Lessons: 24 Chapters. It is not broken up into daily lessons.
