Veldorah began working with Write from the Heart in 2006 and took over as director in 2011. She oversees the classes and enjoys creating new curriculum and tools for student writers. She speaks at homeschool and teacher conferences about writing and helping students find their voices

In a world that is trying to take away our voice, and indoctrinate their voice in the minds of the youth, the importance of teaching the youth to articulate themselves in this climate is vital.
Writing is not just a technique but an art that empowers students to express their voice; giving them the ability to write about things they are passionate about to support their voice and their story.
Being able to communicate is the goal, and being able to do that above the rules of writing is way more important. Once the student identifies what they value, and can express that then the rules come in as a way to bolster their voice to make it clearer and more passionate; the structure then helps to convince or be better understood.
