Carving Out A New Path In Homeschooling With CEO of Inspirational Homeschooling Yvonne Strachan

Intro
Yvonne Strachan CEO of Inspirational Homeschooling she felt like she was carving out a new path for her family when she started homeschooling. She didn’t have a computer, the internet, YouTube, or social media. She faced challenges with learning difficulties and worked through the struggles that come with chronic illness and a debilitating injury. Even though she felt unequipped before she started, she learned along the way. And through it all, her faith was strengthened. She grew a deep desire to inspire others, reassuring them that they can and will succeed in cultivating knowledgeable, compassionate, gifted, faith-filled individuals that will impact our world in a positive way.
Therefore, she wrote her book Inspirational Homeschooling. She has also written articles for organizations and magazines such as The Old Schoolhouse Magazine, Christian Home Educators of Colorado, Homeschool Update magazine and more. Yvonne devotes her time to consult with homeschooling families free of charge, speak at conventions and for homeschool groups, and developed a website (InspirationalHomeschooling.com) that equips parents with resources.
You can purchase the Inspirational Homeschooling book on Amazon, Walmart, and Barnes and Noble.com. You can also visit her website for free resources and to schedule a free 30 minute personalized homeschool consultation.
Top three takeaways
- Homeschool students gain confidence as they work through situations in a home setting because they are not confuse with conflicting beliefs and convictions from the home to a different school environment. Things like acceptance or negative influences or comments by jealous or demeaning kids don't worried them.
- The benefit of homeschooling is that we can pinpoint situations that cause our kids discomfort and encourage and teach them how to engage and relate in different settings.
- Most homeschool kids are not intimidated by adults and can work with and relate to children of all ages. They easily adapt to different age groups and settings because they are exposed to a wide array of situations from field trips, gatherings, extracurricular activities, and study areas throughout the year, rather than the same group of kids and setting five days each week.
